Reporters d’Espoirs est convié à intervenir à la 12e conférence annuelle de l’EVPA (European Venture Philanthropy Association) à Paris le 3 novembre 2016 à 14h.
Myriam Crété-O’Carroll, ambassadrice de Reporters d’Espoirs au Royaume Uni, interviendra aux côtés de représentants de médias, et de philanthropes, sur le thème « Deploying VP Tools and Strategies to Strengthen Media ». Un débat animé par Peter Preston, co-directeur de la Guardian Foundation.

« The right to information is a public good, relying heavily on independent media outlets that are increasingly confronted with competition, sinking advertising revenues and behavioural changes in how mass audiences soak up information. This session aims to explore how VP tools can be used to support the development of media initiatives on which informed citizens / civil society depends (independence of media in conflict areas, promotion of positive/ solution journalism, ensuring long-term financing of ‘news outlets’, ensuring reliability of information reported (Brexit, US elections…) thereby strengthening both the access to and quality of independent news. »
A propos de Myriam O’Carroll
As a senior communications and media expert, Myriam is the UK Correspondent of Reporters d’Espoirs, aimed at leading the media to reframe our contemporary problems into constructive solutions. She works with journalists, business and media influencers to showcase positive and transformational initiatives through the organisation of thought leadership events, research studies and design of educational mentoring programmes.
Over the last 20 years, Myriam has developed lasting relationships between brands and media owners (Havas, Accenture, CNN, CNBC, BBC…), sharing her enthusiasm for the critical importance of meaningful content as the baseline for successful broadcasting.
Myriam regularly works with broadcasters in North Africa, Francophone Africa and the Middle East.
